NYC Ferry operated by City Experiences is committed to respecting our customers, our crew and the natural environment. Through our integrated health & safety, quality and environmental management system, we strive to serve you better and leave the planet a better place than when we began.
For thirty years, Hornblower has made environmental protection and preservation a priority. Focusing on environmental management and educational programs, Respect Our Planet was created in San Francisco, California, and continues to expand its message through Hornblower’s newest addition with NYC Ferry. We are committed to building a cleaner and healthier environment by respecting the land and waters surrounding the world-class destination. We take pride in committing to its eco-friendly practices, including preventing pollution, reducing water, conserving energy, and applying alternative energy technologies.
From the building and engineering of our boats, to 100% compostable corn-based materials used for food packaging, to the number of recycling procedures found on and off-board the vessels, we take great pride in knowing that we are building a healthier and cleaner tomorrow. We have an integrated environment, health & safety, and quality management system that is the basis of our operations and management philosophy. We call this our Respect Management System, simply known as RMS. Our RMS is in compliance with three prestigious and internationally recognized ISO standards including:
Environmental Management System Standard
Occupational Health and Safety Management System
Quality Management System Standard
