As we transition into the Winter Schedule, we are reaching out with some upcoming changes on the Rockaway Route starting Saturday, November 4th.
To ensure NYC Ferry provides the most reliability for New York commuters, we will change the weekday afternoon schedule.
Due to increased ridership at peak commuting times, weekday afternoon departures from Pier 11/Wall Street are often affected by “rolling delays”, meaning that when one trip is a few minutes late, delays tend to grow by a few minutes on each next trip, which mostly affects on-time performance on our longest distance routes. To address this and provide greater schedule reliability for riders, weekday afternoon departure times will depart slightly from their traditional schedule times of 15 minutes past the hour in our new Winter Schedule, effective Saturday, November 4th.

Also starting on November 4, we will begin operating vessels with more main cabin seating during the colder winter months to limit the number of standees and provide a more comfortable commute for our riders.
